More Than Anything Else: A Simple Poem

More Than Anything Else

So many things call for my attention;

So many are saying “look here!” or “listen!”

So many things are consuming my time;

So many dreams pull my heart different ways;

So many desires and longings in heart.

And yet there is One above everything;

One Who gave His life that I may live;

One I live for and give my all;

One Who makes new dreams in my heart;

One Who’s glory and love I long for – more than anything else
